Today, members of the Studio Calico Creative Team are sharing their must have products and supplies right now. I thought I'd start with a little background.
When planning out what I'm going to work on, I love that I can just grab my photos, a Studio Calico kit, load up my tool caddy, paper trimmer and album with page protectors (if I'm working on Project Life), and go. This is typically all I pack up.
My caddy (which is a good 8 years old), has been a workhorse and is perfect for carrying supplies back and forth. I pack every little slot and pocket with an assortment of pens and markers, lots of different adhesives including a dot roller (with refills!) and foam dots, scissors, my tiny attacher (and refills), stamp cleaner and cleaning pad and fun stuff - like ink daubers, alpha stamps and a few ink pads that coordinate with the kit I'm taking with me. Don't forget the acrylic blocks for your stamps! I can't tell you how many times I've done that.
I also like to take my iPad so I can look through the gallery or my Inspiration Board for ideas. And Pinterest of course.
I love working from a kit, even just a single kit, because not only is every month full of unique and often exclusive product, but it makes it so easy to pull together a weekly spread. I don't have to stop and spend time digging through my stash, looking for the perfect alphabet stickers or other coordinating embellishments. If you like to scrapbook away from home too, it couldn't be easier to pack up and go. And it's amazing to see how everyone, both the Creative Team and the members alike, use the same product in different and very inspiring ways. Plus, who doesn't like to get a little happy mail once a month?

At home or away, I always like to have these 5 items on my desk when I'm working on my Project Life spreads. These are my must haves :
1. tiny attacher - my favorite tool!
2. 3x4 grid cards - a great base for embellishing, stamping or square photos
3. Project Life journaling pens - love the 3 thicknesses offered in this set
4. corner chomper - I like the 1/4" radius on my photos to match the Project Life cards
5. versafine black onyx ink pad - my favorite black right now
I also shared my 5 favorite shop items on Friday. You can see those here.
