Here's the latest on our little weed:
Morgan has become a champion hooky player. I've gotten "the call" twice in the last two weeks to come and get Morgan from school because of a fever/lack of appetite/lethargy. Then, miraculously, she is fine a few hours later when we get home. Unfortunately, she can't return to school until she is medicine free and fever free for 24 hours, which means I've been playing stay-at-home mommy quite a bit. Fortunately, I don't mind a bit. I really enjoy it! ;)
So, after a few bouts of the sickies over the last month, I think Morgan is finally on the mend. This last week she's been battling some big time teething pain and sporadic crankiness, accompanied by fever, runny noses and earaches. Her top gums are swollen and red, just waiting for a tooth or two to pop through.
Even when she's being sassy, this little girl has been an absolute blast to watch grow and learn. Mark and I shake our heads every day, smiling, wondering how we got so lucky. She is so fun and is such a sweetheart. I love watching her little personality develop.Morgan is enjoying a buffet of new foods, including blueberry, chicken, peaches, white potato, plums and graham crackers. We are working on getting her to drink her bottles like she used to. Doing some experimenting and moving feedings around so we can get as much milk in her as possible. Patience is a virtue. Milk in her sippy cup with some Cheerios works pretty well too!Speaking of Cheerios, Morgan's teachers were telling me about how all the babies like to congregate in certain areas of their room. One of those places is under the highchairs, and I figured out why last Wednesday. When I dropped Morgan off in the morning, she made a beeline for the high chairs and started playing with something on the floor. Seems the little ones that aren't enjoying a meal like to play like dogs and graze on the Cheerios that have fallen from above. Ah-ha, sneaky little girl! No wonder she isn't drinking...she's full on O's.Morgan is crawling and cruising all over the place and is especially fond of pushing around our mag table. She should be a big help on moving day - which we hope will be soon. With Grammy Goulding's help, we are in the process of house hunting and hoping to get a good deal before someone swipes it away like the last two houses we found. And, we've been pre-approved, even with the option that we don't sell the condo first (shocking, but true!) so that is taken care of.
Other than that, not much else going on here. Time to go check on Morgan, she's trying to figure out how to nap standing up in her crib. Buh-bye for now!
