Hello December

What a nice long weekend. I hope yours was as enjoyable as ours was.

For Thanksgiving, the three of us, along with Kristin and Troy, went to my parents for football, lots of yummy food and catching up. This year, instead of the 6 of us exchanging Christmas gifts with each other, we decided to play 'Secret Santa' and on Thursday we picked our names. I think it's going to be a lot of fun - hopefully everything stays secret until December 25th.

The gift giving is already (well, I should say still) in full effect as far as Morgan is concerned. My parents got a highchair for Morgan to use when we are visiting them. Now that she is sitting up, she no longer has to be confined to the floor while we are eating dinner. She loved being at the table with us, gnawing away at her stuffed pea and carrot.

Friday, we headed to Lansing. We visited Mark's dad, stepmom and family and ended the day at Mark's mom's house for dinner and a sleepover. We visited and played and Morgan got to hang with her cousin, Mason. She was pretty mesmerized by him. Either that or she was annoyed. I'm not sure if that is a 'hey, you're pretty cool' look or a 'hey, get your hands off my rattle' look. :)
Regardless, I think they both got a kick out of each other!

On Saturday, we got to visit with Tim, Andrea and Brody, Dave, Angie and Boden. Dave had a little photoshoot with the kiddos so now we finally have some pictures of the North Channel babes. They were all very cooperative, even if they were each doing there own thing. This is one of my favorite shots of the three of them. (from left to right: Brody - 4 months, Boden - 7 months, Morgan - almost 6 months) Pretty sweet!

Sunday was our usual lazy day with a dash of grocery shopping. Afterwards, we were going to make a run to Whole Foods for a little produce so I can start making Morgan's food, but instead she decided she needed a third nap. So Mark went out in the slush/snow and got us some Thai food for dinner and we called it a night. Morgan was a tired little girl yesterday - we did have a pretty busy weekend though.

So, here's to a productive Monday. Just 3 1/2 weeks until Christmas...geez! Let the madness begin.

  1. I love the pictures of her in awe of Mason. Very cute. I'm glad she likes pea and carrot too. It'll be interesting to find out if she like the real peas and carrots!
