A one of a kind crib calls for a one of a kind mobile. So what does Mark do when he can't find the perfect one? He makes it! This is Morgan's view from her crib:
Early last week, Mark put his balance and mathematical skills to work and created this beautifully simple mobile for Morgan. It's made from wire, basswood and fishing swivels and it's super cool. It didn't cost a fortune either, like most of the modern mobiles we were looking at. That's always a bonus - as I know we tend to have expensive taste.
On Thursday evening we were graced with Aunty K's presence. Lots of laughs, dancing and catching up. Morgan got a little break from practicing her numbers though...maybe next time! :)
Today while I joined Kristin, mom and Val for some wedding dress shopping (sorry Troy, my lips are sealed) - Mark took Morgan to the Woodward Dream Cruise with Papa, Grandpa Reaves, Uncle Nick, Aunt Caroline, Uncle Pat and Mason. And they had a blast...
I cannot wait to hear a full blown belly laugh come out of that mouth. Actually, I can wait. She's already grown so much and time is not showing any signs of slowing down.
Tomorrow has been declared a family day. I'm not sure what is in store, but I hope it includes a little sleeping in. We've been staying up way too late watching Michael Phelps spank everyone else in Olympic swimming. 8 for 8 - how cool is that?
